About the project

Alp Documentary is a Han Sanat Product documentary project on the Turkic warrior tradition and the culture of the alps. The images on this page come from mise-en-scène work staged during the documentary’s preparation.

The alp tradition

In Turkic history, from Central Asia to Anatolia, the alp is the heroic warrior who embodies courage, loyalty and devotion to custom. In the founding eras of the Seljuks and the Ottomans, alps led the way in settling and conquering new lands. The documentary aims to bring this tradition to the screen through costume, weaponry and setting.

Production

Co-production and project design were carried out together with director Caner Kasapoğlu.
